Short answer
Little Woods covers a big stretch of New Orleans East back from the lakefront, and most of its houses are slab-built ranch homes with the air handler and ducts in the attic. Common calls are no-cool repairs, attic duct problems and replacing systems installed in the rebuild after 2005. We serve ZIPs 70127 and 70128, 24/7.
Slab homes, hot attics and post-2005 systems

Most of Little Woods was built out in the second half of the twentieth century, as subdivisions spread east across drained marshland. The houses sit on concrete slabs rather than piers, so there is no crawlspace for ductwork. The air handler usually hangs in the attic or stands in a hall closet, and the ducts run through an attic that gets far hotter than the air outside on a July afternoon.
When the levees failed in 2005, floodwater covered most of New Orleans East, and a large share of the systems in Little Woods were replaced in the rebuild that followed. Many of those outdoor units, coils and attic ducts are now approaching twenty years old. That is the age when we start comparing the next repair with the cost of a new system, and we give you both numbers before you decide.
